The Lakeshore Snow Devils Snowmobile Club was founded in the early 1960ís. The club was closed in the late 70ís when the gas crunch affected everyone.
The club was restarted again in 1985 when paper work was found that showed there was an active checking account with a small amount of money still in it. From there, the club went on to host 3 great years of Rock Maple Racing snow cross events in Red Creek. The Lakeshore Snow Devilís bought 2 Skandic snowmobile groomers to help maintain the trail system. The Skandics are gone and we are on our second commercial grooming tractor, a LMC Bearcat with a Mogulmaster drag. Plans are to add a second large machine to the fleet for the 2007-2008 season.
With the help of Wayne County, the club applies for trail grant money, and is continuing with trail improvements along the 104 corridor. We also have plans to widen and improve the remainder of our trail system to accommodate the wider grooming equipment. Our goal is to provide safe and enjoyable riding and events for everyone who wishes spend some time riding in the Northeast corner of Wayne County.
